fathomless

fathomless sea,
bare of a shore,
above just fleeting clouds
meant to dissolve in rain

skyless air
the most waning of moons
fallen behind a cliff,
eclipsed eternally

my heart sinks
to a darkened depth
without a ground,
a leaden shell,
unchained, unwound.
