autumn (V)

to wander silently
in autumn's frigid mist
weaving the auburn sea
in lace of wistfulness

on wings of cranes departs
great summer's fervent glow
into the voice of wind
wafting from isles where gold

and honey flows from lips
of sun's embracing warmth
dyeing a rose in embers
on Lóriens unfading grass.

(for D.)

'weaving the auburn sea
in lace of wistfulness'~~this feels so autumnal and lightly melancholic. and i love the hint of elven timelessness in the end. such a beautiful poetic soul you are~
