at the far end

my light you stay
in times of dark,
on brightest day
entwined with sunlight
on a hopeful morn

my light you stay
cast over flowering fields
caressed by summer breeze
on careless afternoon
that slowly turns to golden eve

my light you stay
when after many moons
you may remember
the wilted roses
at the far end of your garden

know then
that they are blooming still
in mine until all gardens fall.
