summer day

she smells like the golden light
glinting through billows
of a ripe field of wheat

like the dance of the poppies' wings
in the soft hands of the wind
from a sweet childhood memory

like the song of the lark
immersed in cerulean height
filling an unending summer day

like the silvern river of certainty
flowing with evening quietude
to the outskirts of dusk.

dusk

of all hours of the day
mine is the dusk:

the tangerine sinks into quiet
the light fades from the blue

all peaceful slides the day
into the duvet of the night

the moon's round cheek
snuggles against your face.

kindling a fire in the hearth of your fortress
may cast some light through the window
into the dark outside

yet keep your gates shut
the drawbridge raised
and warm yourself inside your mirror walls

i rather prefer the stark light of stars
to a mirage.

(I was always hoping for a connection with you that would go beyond wearing each other in our minds and hearts.)

the flower and the sea

(The dots are actually silver but the camera could not capture them well.)

June 07, 2020

at final dusk

will the glow
just fade
into the blue of steel
a transparent forsakenness

will the clouds
be drawn
from the window of this world
displaying pathless deserts
of a starless sky

will your moon
just sink into a nameless sea
a leaden heaviness
from which no wavelet can emerge

.
.
.

i search your light
your flower's scent
your meadow's smooth embrace
timeless lavender moon.

...

what could be easy
about letting go

when the sky was in your hands
and my flower
curled around your moon

when the wall you built
seasons ago

(how many days and weeks and hours waiting in vain)
.
.
.

.

.

.

.

...

stayed transparent
to hopes and dreams
to the melody of heartstrings

what could be easy
about letting go . .  .   .    .

wind

the wind is sweeping through the grass
and with it a sigh comes from the sea
a sigh from deepest blue
the remnant from a storm
shaking the pillars of the earth

the wind is sweeping through the trees
turning the leaves to fluttering gold
in spreading light of afternoon
calling the vine towards the sun
to fill the cup of yearning souls

the wind is sweeping through the grass
curling around a flower blue
raising its head towards the sky
to feel the wind's touch in each moon-filled night.

fluttering

fluttering through your lush gardens
your flute plays the melody of my heart

alighting on a spike of lavender
stirred by a whisper from the sea
i fold my wings toward the sky.

your moon
spreading its golden roots
in this fathomless sea

my love
the dark red poppy flower
dancing gratefully
in the soft caress
of your silent wind.

silver rain

if my heart
should ever burst
the pieces scatter
over sea and earth

i wish that
in a silent night
there floods a rain
of falling stars
right into yours.

?

in love
we are connected
for eternity

yet i wonder
if you allow
that our eyes will meet
still in this lifetime

to and fro
stop and go
yes and no
swaying — fraying
turning — churning
caring — swearing
leaving — staying?

plucking petals
from a flower
ever growing
will not pull out the roots

yet my rose longs for your gracious moon
pouring light of honey
over soul and skin.

prayer

May you find another love, someone who can fulfil your dream and live with you each day.

May 01, 2020

draught

slowly you retreated
one step at a time

like a sea losing water
with each moon
the tide each day
rising a bit lower

season by season
i was hoping for a wave
that would reach my feet
— yet water became
a memory only

i often deemed to glimpse
a silver lined raincloud
in the depth of the sky
but there was only blue
stretching over a desert

now i hardly hope
for just a droplet
in a relentless void.

evening shore

in the hour of transition
the wind has settled in the shade of dunes
the sea is stretching out in soothing waves
into a dream unfolding with first stars,
slowly lit beacons beckoning into a deeper sky

of violet kindness of a halcyon garden
where the trees shine ever blooming
in the glance of silver-sweet streams from our well

flowing with clouds of honey into stillness
of our evening souls filled only
with the beat of hearts,
with the safeness of each other's arms.

eternal

with me
i carry you away
into a blooming orchard
spun out of sunlight, green and white
where time rests languidly
between the nodding flowers on the grass
in halcyon dream amid the whisper from the sea
outstretched in deepest blue, scented with lemon sun
kissing lavender fields into a wave of sighs
reaching into souls' gloaming fire

the night falls gently
as velvet gossamer upon our eyes
embroidered diamonds count eternal hours
we sink our flames into the earth
a sapling for the sweetest truth.

you are the sea
illumed by the moon
but confined by cold beaches
and relentless black rocks

my small river
is streaming towards you
yet your tides keep retreating
so my waters are dying
in the brine between reeds.

daffodils

for you they do not bloom
neither for me they do

yet in their colour
glows your light.

into bloom, into blue

in times of harshness
spring spreads its wings
of blossoms fair and tender
into auspicious sky

into a longing far
into a sea of deeper blue
whose wavy fingers
are tracing warming strands.
