Evening Clouds

How peaceful evening alights!

Contrails painted with orange hues
As if somebody blessed their flights,
Enchant' their destinations.

Below, released of weight, an elephant,
in drift reshapes into an ape,
like on a river's raft.

How quickly Cyprus floats
And turns to Ibiza!
How quickly fantasy burns!

A backwards swimming fish,
dissolving in the steel-blue dusk
blows away like our dreams.

How woeful days expire.

Fantastic fantasy. It's so good for the soul! Where would we be without our dreams? :^)

Thank you very much for your comments, Charlotte and Bill : ) @ Bill: I had to think of your book "Dragon Vapors" ...

You've been a ramblin' man, Martin. Glancing all about with a pretty big scope and rejoicing at the expiration of not rejoicing!

Some wounds are not meant to heal, and so they're not expiring ... Thank you anyways very kindly : )

Thank you, dear Yelena. Sometimes one wishes simply to dissolve like a cloud ... Your comment made my day too : )
